HALF DAY ATHENS SIGHTSEEING

The proposals for transfers and tours of Athens Greece Transfers & Tours start from the city that had the honor to host the greatness of the 5th century BC, the once upon a time mighty Athens, capital of Modern Greece.

Her rich history does not recant the sunny, open atmosphere that characterizes the city with her sky always bright and blue. Bright, like the culture born within her and contemporary, like the ideas she has disseminated in the world, she always remains ready to explore her every corner.

What You Can Expect

Half day in Athens is barely enough time to experience all it hasto offer until next time you plan to visit it.

A first introduction with the New Acropolis Museum, that still expects the emigrant Parthenon sculptures back while opposite the museum we can find the Acropolis with the temple of Athena, the Erechtheion, the Propylea and of course the Parthenon.

From there, we head down to Monastiraki and Plaka, a combination of the old and new Athens, where the old and modern co-exist in harmony, in a commercial nostalgic area, reminiscent of the East and West.

We continue from the “historical centre” to the centre of today, the Syntagma Square and the Parliament Building with the impressive changing guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, while around one can find expensive shops and their impressive windows.

A few streets away, we can find the Panathenaic Stadium also known as Kallimarmaro, the only major stadium entirely built of white marble which is one of the oldest in the world.

The “sports jewel” of the city that hosted the revival of the first Olympic Games in 1896 and is full of images of yesterday.

With this Acropolis half day tour you will enjoy one of the top UNESCO'S world heritage monuments.
